“Apart from the star of Bethlehem, was there any other indication of the birth of Jesus?

Angels sang before the sheperds.

But the star was shown to the 3 astrologers only...and they arrived in Bethlehem when Jesus was almost 2 years old, as Herod ordered the killings of children age 2 and below so that the said king will die....

“Apart from the star of Bethlehem, was there any other indication of the birth of Jesus?
Oh, my stars and yet people show the Magi visiting him @ the manager. Report It

Reply:it was prophesied years before that is why the wise men went to Bethlehem.

Dint listen to those who say Jesus is a mirth, more should follow him and then they would "get a life".

Reply:As to how He would be conceived:

In the Old Testament Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel."

As to where He would be born:

In the Old Testament Micah 5:2

But as for you , Bethlehem Ephrathah,

Too little to be among the clans of Judah,

From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel.

His going forth are from long ago,

From the days of eternity.

As to the proclamation of His birth:

In the New Testament Luke 2:9-13 "And in the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields, and keeping watch over their flock by night.

And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. And the angel said to them. "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you; you will find a baby wrapped in cloths, and lying in a manger."

there are over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament about Jesus, His life death, Resurrection and return. A good reason to read and study the bible!
Reply:The start of two thousand years of murder, bigotry and insanity in his name. Just like all the other major religions.
Reply:ISAIAH Chapter 53 - The Arm of the Lord is revealed

1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence,

neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors
Reply:a star in the sky isnt indication of anyone's birth.

the myth of jesus is just that: a myth. nothing provable about it. wanting it to be real doesn't make it real

Reply:Jesus is alive today and living, He just doesn't live in Christian churches. He lives in hearts of believers, Jesus the son died a long time ago and there is no reason to dwell on this fact, He arose is the important thing. And if that's the kind of God you worship... a kid in a barn... sorry I was preaching not answering the question. Yes there was a few shepherd's that saw angels singing and came. There was a man in the temple that said he could die now for he has seen God, and there was blind Anna in the temple also. That star was not one star but three stars that aligned in the Heavens and it toke them wise men two years to reach Jesus(star worshipper types not good christains), so I am sure Joseph and Mary didn't hang out in that stable for 2 years waiting for them wise men to come. because 8 days latter they were in the temple doing the religious stuff, and the temple was in Jerusalem, getting his penis cut as was Jewish custom. He was born there because that is where you would find a Lamb of God born in a stable not a home. But you know by the time them wise men came he was about two years old because of this; Matthew 2:16

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

This proves that whole manger story is a lie, wise men never came to Jesus in a stable, also lives of innocent children didn't mean much to Herod. He was hoping to kill a man that would take his throne.
Reply:Did you that the star of Bethlehem was more likely to be a comet, as they have been able to track back to before Christ was born, and they say that a comet was on that path which would have looked like a bright star to follow
Reply:According to "Telegraph" today only Matthew reported "The Star". There is no unchallengeable recorded evidence of starry phenomena around this time.
Reply:A bunch of prophecies that were fulfilled.

Hey there's a cool BBC program dedicated to Jesus. It talks about His birth and the alignment of the planets. And they have hard facts about this. Pretty Cool!!!
Reply:Yes, there was a memo sent around.
Reply:The Qur’aan confirms his virgin birth (a chapter of the Qur’aan is entitled `Mary') in her time, and Mary is considered the purest woman in all creation. The Qur’aan

describes the creation of Jesus as follows (interpretation of the meaning):

"Behold! the Angel said, `God has chosen you, and purified you, and chosen you above the women of all nations. O Mary, God gives you glad tidings of a word from Him, whose name

shall be the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, honored in this world and the Hereafter, and one that shall speak to the people from his cradle and in maturity, and shall be of the righteous.' She said: `O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?' He said: `Even so; God creates what He wills. When He decrees a thing, He but says to it, "Be!" and it is."

(Qur’aan, Surat (chapter) Aala ‘Imraan, 3:42-7)

Jesus (peace be upon him) was born miraculously through the same power which had brought Adam (peace be upon him) into being without a father:

"Truly, the likeness of

Jesus unto Allaah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, and then said to him, `Be!' and he was." (3:59)

During his prophetic mission, Jesus (peace be upon him) was granted

and performed many miracles. The Qur’aan tells us that he said (interpretation of meaning):

"I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I make for you out of the clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it and it becomes a bird by Allaah’s leave. And I heal the blind and the lepers, and I raise the dead by Allaah’s leave." (3:49)

Other miracles include speaking soon after birth in defense of his mother's piety. God's other gifts to him included healing the blind and the sick, reviving the dead, and, most importantly, the message he was carrying.

These miracles were granted to him by God to establish

him as a prophet. According to the Qur’aan, he was not crucified, but only appeared so; instead, Allaah raised him unto Heaven. (Quraan, Chapter Maryam) Neither Muhammad (peace be

upon him), nor Jesus (peace be upon him), came to change the basic doctrine of the belief in one God, brought by earlier prophets, but to confirm and renew it. In the Quran Jesus (peace be upon him), is reported as saying that he came: " To attest the law which was before me. And to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden you; I have come to you with a sign form your Lord, so fear God and obey me." (3:50)
