Julius Caesar was declared a 'God' after his assassination?

by a decree of the Roman Senate. Individuals testified before the Senate that they had seen Julius ascending to the Heavens on a comet during the Roman games. The comet appearance is historically verifiable and was visible for seven days.

He was also declared to be both the Son of Jupiter and equal to Jupiter.

Isn't Jesus, with his 'Star of Bethlehem' and conflicting ascension stories just a cheap knockoff of Julius, the ORIGINAL JC?

Not to mention that Julius' right hand man, Marc Antony abandoned him as he was being assassinated, hid among slaves, denied him by negotiating with his murderers before conspiring against them and defeating them, and later became the Pontifex Maximus of the DIVI IVLIVS, making Peter a cheap dime store copy of the real deal.

Thoughts? Comments?

Julius Caesar was declared a 'God' after his assassination?
Let's stretch it a bit; don't we all have a cross to bear? It's classic drama, of the highest order. Consider yourself the tragic hero of the book of Revelation, and examine your life so far in that context. This renders that book a spiritual guide, for those who have ears. It's not as glamorous as the end of the world, and the death of most of humanity. But, it is, in a very personal way, all that matters...

Reply:Re-writing history is one perk of winning. It wasn't the first time, and it's not the last. Extremists want to destroy the history that came before them, like the Egyptian muslims used to damage ancient artifacts.
Reply:People have always been nuts...I'm wondering if we should just stop fighting it...=0)
