That star over Bethlehem....?

If it were to have guided those three wise men:

a) if it really were that close and stationary right overhead, wouldn't there have been some profound physical impact on life on earth? You know, the odd tidal bores, radiation burns, broiling of skin, etc...

b) if it wasn't that close and was just a star or comet (as suggested) in the night sky, then even if they traveled towards Bethlehem, wouldn't it seem to keep getting farther away like all of the other celestial objects when you stroll towards them?

c) was Balthazar carrying the gold, frankincense or the myrrh?

If the answer is (b), doesn't that mean that the three wise men just got tired of traveling and just happened of stop in Bethlehem? Lazy wise men.

That star over Bethlehem....?
They were guided by the star and an angel sent by God
Reply:cynic!
Reply:The star was probably Satan.

The three astrologers were sent by Herod to locate Jesus so he could kill him.

An angel ended the plan by commanding the astrologers not to go back to Herod.

Satan's attempt to kill Jesus through Herod failed.
Reply:I've wondered if it was a supernova or something like that.
Reply:A star can be an angel. Notice the 'star" appeared visible from the east to these "wise men" and that, after they meet with Herod, the star reappears in order to lead them to Jesus.

.
Reply:If you read the bible you will see the three astrologers (not wise men) were sent by King Herod to find the child Jesus so he can kill him. That star was put there directly above by Satan the devil, therefore afterwards God warned the astrologers not to return to king Herod. and they went by another route...
Reply:You mus be a scientist or something..

If you have ever read the bible you will realize that GOD works wanders and miracles..

Just the fact that you would question GOD tells me that you do not believe..for this i am truly sorry..
